Implementation guide

Shopify EU Withdrawal Button

Shopify merchants who want a visible withdrawal entry point without waiting for a custom app install.

For Shopify, the simplest production setup is a hosted withdrawal link placed in footer navigation and policy pages. Stores with theme access can also place the widget snippet near the storefront footer.

Install steps

  1. 1. Create the store in the merchant dashboard and copy the hosted withdrawal URL.
  2. 2. In Shopify Admin, add the URL to Online Store navigation, footer menus, and customer-facing policy pages.
  3. 3. For themes that allow custom scripts, paste the widget snippet before the closing body tag.
  4. 4. Submit a test request through the hosted page and confirm the merchant notification email arrives.

Recommended Shopify placement

Use plain, durable navigation entries such as 'Withdraw from contract here' instead of burying the link inside a long returns policy.

If your storefront is multilingual, create one visible placement per language or use the German hosted page for German-facing storefronts.

Operational handoff

Incoming requests remain outside Shopify order mutation by design. The dashboard records the request and lets the merchant decide how to handle refunds, service cancellation, or account updates.

Paid plans support CSV export for teams that reconcile requests with Shopify orders or external customer support tools.

Questions

Do I need Shopify OAuth?

No. The MVP uses a hosted link or script snippet, not a Shopify app integration.

Where should I put the link?

Footer navigation, policy navigation, account pages, and any checkout-adjacent help area controlled by the merchant are the usual placements.
